Xiaomi Mi A3: Specifications and Features The Mi A3 is an upgrade to last year’s Mi A2, but in some areas, it doesn’t feel like an upgrade. The display on the Mi A3 is a 6-inch HD+ panel which is a downgrade over last year’s Mi A2 and 2017’s Mi A1. On the brighter side, Xiaomi has gone with an AMOLED panel and the phone also offers an in-display fingerprint scanner. Another area where the Mi A3 doesn’t inspire confidence is in the processor aspect. The Mi A3 has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It’ll be interesting to see if Xiaomi uses any processor for the Indian market. If the Mi A3 debuts with Snapdragon 665 SoC, it will be the first phone in the country with the said chipset. The phone offers triple rear cameras- a 48MP Sony IMX586 chipset, 8MP ultra wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. The Mi A2 was possibly the best camera phone under the Rs 20,000 price point and the Mi A3 wants to replace its predecessor. The phone is backed by a 4030mAh battery and runs Android 9 Pie out of the box. The Mi A3, like its predecessors, is an Android One smartphone. The Mi A3 also has a 3.5mm headphone jack, something we missed on the last year’s Mi A2.
