Redmi, the sub-brand of Xiaomi, has discontinued the base variants of two smartphones in India. The smartphones in concern here are the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The company has delisted the base variants of the smartphone from its official website in India. For the unaware, the base variants of the Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max came with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is worth noting that the devices were launched only a few months back, in March 2021. The Redmi Note 10 Pro base variant was launched for Rs 15,999, and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max base variant was launched for Rs 18,999. But the devices are available in two more variants with 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB variant. The Redmi Note 10 Pro 6GB+128GB variant is priced at Rs 17,999 and the 8GB+128GB variant is priced at Rs 18,999. Then the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max 6GB+128GB variant is priced at Rs 19,999 and the 8GB+128GB variant is priced at Rs 21,999. The smartphones are available in three colours - Glacial Blue, Dark Night, and Vintage Bronze.
Redmi Note 10 Pro and Note 10 Pro Max Specifications
Both the smartphones feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display and are powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 732G SoC. Further, both have a quad-camera setup at the rear. However, the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max comes with a 108MP primary sensor, whereas the Redmi Note 10 Pro comes with a 64MP primary sensor. Both feature a 16MP sensor at the front for selfies and video calling. There is a 5,020mAh battery packed inside both the smartphones that come with support for 33W fast-charging. This might be because the company wants to bank on more revenues from higher variants of the smartphone, or maybe the base variants weren’t selling at all. Whatever it is, users can’t purchase the base variant of the concerned devices from the official website of the company now.
