Vodafone Idea 50% Buyback Offer Details Vodafone Idea has announced that existing and new Vodafone Idea customers will be able to get up to 50% Assured Buyback on the purchase of the new Vivo V17 Pro. The condition for this buyback offer will be that the subscribers would have to recharge with prepaid vouchers of Rs 199 and above which come with 28 days validity. Subsequently, Vodafone Idea has noted that the subscribers would have to recharge with a minimum of 10 recharges in 12 months to be eligible for this offer....

The need for fiberisation of the telecom towers in India for a successful 5G rollout is quite high. Highlighting that, P Balaji, Chief Regulatory and Corporate Affairs Officer, Vodafone Idea, said a robust digital infrastructure deployment is needed, and efforts should be made to fiberise 85% of all telecom towers in India in the next 24 months from the current 35%. Balaji said that while the goal might seem daunting, it is quite possible if India has a holistic approach on rights of way (RoW) approvals and collaboration between the private sector, central ministry, state and local administration....

This exercise also involves installation of 1900 dedicated indoor coverage solutions for high rises and commercial places....

Vodafone Idea (Vi) is looking to avoid a duopoly scenario of Ericsson and Nokia for 5G. Vodafone Idea (Vi), the third-largest telecom operator of the country has assured the banks/lenders that it won’t default on making its loan payments. The telco has taken multiple loans from several banks and lenders which it seeks to repay in the foreseeable future. The payment for the next instalment of the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues is not until March 2022 for the telco. As per an ET Telecom report, the operator has said that whatever cashflow it generates within the next year will be used to repay the loans....
