Hughes, a company that’s involved in developing satellite and multi-transport technologies and networks has signed a distribution deal in the United States (US) with OneWeb, a Bharti backed satellite broadband company. Chinese smartphone brand, Oppo, today announced that it would be launching the Oppo A53 2020 smartphone in India on August 25. The company confirmed the phone would be priced under Rs 15,000. The Oppo A53 2020 has just been launched in Indonesia, and if Oppo launches the same device in India, the phone will offer a 90Hz screen on the mid-range segment. Counterpoint today released the final report highlighting the Indian smartphone market trends for the year 2020 and Q4 2020. In the report, Counterpoint highlighted that the pandemic did not hurt the smartphone markets as the overall shipments declined by a modest 4% YoY to reach over 150 million units in 2020.
